Are Your MSME or Work Files Ready to Go Storage in Digital?
Paperless?
Considering a paperless future for your MSME or professional polywork online? Discover how digital storage offers money-saving opportunities, efficiency, and sustainability for those beginning to WFH with polywork tasks and/or operating their MSME startups. While the future is definitely paperless, a mixed approach with printed documents is still necessary for Pasig LGU requirements.
Online Digital Storage?
Going digital in storage is what paperless is all about. Go for free digital storage services at first and then opt for a subscription when your WFH Job or MSME begins to earn. When it also scales up and needs a larger storage amount, then you can opt for either Google One or Microsoft OneDrive. Google One is a key option since it now offers AI functionality integrated with the subscription. Microsoft OneDrive is another good option especially if you decided to have extended security updates (ESU) in your Windows 10 laptop.

Both printed paper documents and digital file storage
The Pasig LGU still processes printed paper documents in its Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD). Small adjustments are only necessary in whatever is being asked for in MSME business registration or renewal.
The Pasig LGU has moved many registration processes and payments to Business One Stop Shop service in Ayala Mall the 30th Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Metro Manila, 1605, PH . It has also transferred some of its registration and renewal processing of documents in a temporary location in Rosario, Pasig. The documents that are in need of print are the Certificate of Business name registration from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the MSME Certificate of authority. Printing is not a problem since many retail print shops abound in the Kapitolyo area, such as Mediaprint Philippines, Inc. and Easyprint (and many more in the temporary location at Rosario, Pasig). And you can store digital files of the DTI certificates in OneDrive or Google Drive for printing upon renewal of your MSME.
Is investing in a printer still worth it?
Yes, it can save more energy, time, and money if the MSME needs to print in bulk, instead of outsourcing small print jobs at retail print shops.
The Future is Paperless
The latest articles online say the direction of the future is paperless.
This is the direction the country is also following as it adopts new technologies.
The direction for digital storage is a wise move since the Philippines is opening up to world trade. In the global arena, whether micro, small, medium, or large, all businesses in the Philippines are now adapting to advancing technologies in work and business, especially in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
As more and more AI technologies are adopted in the Philippines, one element of success is the readiness and agility to shift strategies quickly. Uncertainties in the global economy are not good news, but they are opportunities for small businesses like MSMEs to enter niche markets which large businesses have withdrawn from. Flexibility is key.
Other keys to success:
- mastering the basics/the fundamentals,
- a positive attitude,
- working within one's circle of competence, control, experience, expertise, and authority,
- and a growth mindset to advance beyond the basics.
